Through Our Eyes is a collective exhibition presented by LensLife, an Aotearoa New Zealand photography community founded on the belief that photography is at its best when shared, encouraged, and pursued together. Rather than presenting a single vantage point, Through Our Eyes brings together twenty-one distinct photographers-each with their own visual signature, technical mastery, and creative heart-in a rich, multi-layered celebration of how we see the world around us.

The exhibition journeys through grand natural landscapes, quiet personal observations, vibrant street energy, and intimate macro realms:

• Coastal Horizons & Wild Spaces: Kane Milson captures the rugged majesty of the Wairarapa coast in Castle Point, while Paul Davidson mirrors grand alpine drama in Summits and Stillwater. Clive Poultney channels the kinetic surge of the sea in Breaking Stillness, alongside Kathryn Poultney’s deep maritime skies in Infinite Blue. The contemplative shoreline continues in Casey Lowe’s atmospheric West Coast Calm and Andie Healy’s delicate twilight threshold in Edge of Day - Line of Tide.

• Light, Texture & Macro Wonders: Julia (Jules) Walkinshaw reveals luminous, intricate details in Monarch & Magenta, while Suzanne Poole draws us into the unseen patterns of nature in A Closer Look. Carol Tannerbathes the forest in rich warmth in Autumn Glow, balanced by the steadfast forms of Chris Otter’s Stalwart Remnant and the gentle coastal atmosphere of Amie Wintle’s Soft Motion at Te Arai.

• Solitude, Shadows & Human Spirit: LensLife founder and educator Coni Flores explores cinematic stillness in Alone but Never Lonely. Simon Collins commands open space with minimalist power in Solitary, while Alex Henderson (Halvz Photography) sculpts mystery out of deep contrast in Through the Shadows. Poetic human emotion and personal narrative resonate in Anthony Alarcon’s Seasons of Grace and Natalie O’Connor’s expressive Identity.

• Life, Companionship & Fleeting Moments: Aga Wieczorek shares the dignity, trust, and soul of canine life across Madagascar, Georgia, and Bhutan in Stray Dogs Around the World. Steve Cockram catches the pulse of communal joy in Amid the Celebrations, complemented by Yohanes’s unrepeatable urban street narratives in The Fleeting Moments, Stuart Gillard’s heartfelt Gift from the Heart, and Chris Lai’s personal journey Through My Lens.
