I am a full time photographer from Katikati in the Bay of Plenty. I specialise in family portraits, events, and commercial photography, and have an extra sweet spot for photographing nature with a creative twist. I love to use in-camera techniques that capture the way it feels to be in the moment rather than literally how it looks. Techniques like intentional camera movement, multiple exposures and free lensing.
I am not biased – I love everything from the grand scenes of beautiful sunsets at the beach through to the way tiny drops of dew glisten in the early morning winter sun.
I’m an award winning NZIPP Accredited Portrait Photographer with Masters of Photography with Distinction. Many of the photos in this exhibition have won an award and each one reflects the sense of a very special place and time for me.
Each piece is framed and printed to textured cotton rag paper. They are a mix of rectangle, square and round frames of varying sizes.
With a degree in Art History, a previous career in marketing and a lifelong love of the arts, I’m now fully immersed in the creative world of photography and loving being a part of Fotofest.
