Lee Pritchard

As a self-taught photographer with more than 30 years of experience, Lee has a passion for capturing the beauty and character of everyday life. From sunrises and sunsets to people, travel and places, his photography transforms ordinary moments into memorable images that can be treasured forever.
With a lifelong love of music, art and photography, Lee is also a self-published author of two books in these fields. 
For FOTOFEST this year, his series of images focus on a local derelict church and the history surrounding it. Lee has also written a story about the church for AudioCulture website , ‘the noisy library of NZ Music’,in the late 1980s, he regularly attended The Church as a patron when rock bands performed there every weekend. Nearly 30 years after the building was locked shut and abandoned, Lee recently returned to photograph the space.

Over the years, Lee has entered numerous photography competitions, achieving success across a variety of categories. Most recently, he was named a Category Finalist and received a Silver Award in the Portrait section of the NZ Amateur Photography Awards.
