A Day in the Bay 24 hours photo competition is back!
Capture the essence of Hawke’s Bay and join us for 24 hours that celebrates our community through the lens of your camera. Please know only photos taken within the 24 hour period will be accepted for judging. Images taken prior to this timeline won't be accepted( Images will be verified by the files embedded EXIF metadata)
Powered by Harvey Norman NZ, A Day in the Bay invites everyone in Hawke's Bay, no matter your experience, to capture 24 hours of life in our beautiful region.
It's a chance to share your view of where we live, work, and play, and to celebrate the unique cultures and identities that make up our communities.
Grab your camera or phone, and take a photo that showcases what you find interesting or meaningful in your day-to-day life.
Whether you capture bustling streets, family life, serene landscapes, or lively community events, your photo will help create a visual history of our area that will be archived for future generations to enjoy.
This year, our judges are also looking for images that celebrate people and places, our streets and neighbourhoods as people enjoy this long weekend.
Anyone, whatever level or skill of all ages, can participate.
Your photo could be the winning image
Thanks to Harvey Norman we have a Canon EOSR50 with 18-45mm lens plus additional 55-210mm lens and case to give away to the single image our judges deem their overall favourite and aligns best with our theme.
Your images could also be used to promote our beautiful region but always with your name being included.
All images will be archived to provide a 24 hour snapshot timeline in Hawke's Bay
Enter only in the 24 hour period using the online form from Saturday October 24th midday to Sunday October 25th 11:59pm. Submission form will close after this time.
Ts&Cs
Submitted images must be taken within the stated 24 hour period. Images considered will be checked for time stamp verification and rejected if outside of the set competition time frame.
Entries will only be accepted from Saturday October 24th 12:00pm to Sunday October 25th 11:59pm
Image must be taken within Hawke's Bay region.
Only one image to be entered per person/email address. Additonal entries will not be considered.
Judges decision will be final.
Images submitted will be used by organisers to promote the competition on social media and website and for subsequent years.
Images submitted may be requested for promotional use, consent would be requested prior to use.
Any images containing people, groups of people or individuals have consented to having their image taken and used for competition purposes.
Files should be .jpg or png and file named with entrants full name ie: mrfotofest.jpg
Images will only be accepted using the offical entry form.
