Edward Roberts
Edward Roberts is a 19 year-old landscape photographer drawn to places where the world feels unfamiliar and surreal. A long-time exhibitor with FOTOFEST Hawke’s Bay, his work explores the relationship between landscape, atmosphere, and the sense of place.
During his time in Japan, Roberts was drawn to the contrasts between ancient and modern, and natural and built. This FOTOFEST 26’ exhibition presents a selection of Roberts' photographs from that time. Together, the images offer a personal interpretation of a country defined by intensely human environments coexisting among dramatic landscapes.
