Mel is a Hawke’s Bay photographer and café owner based in the Tuki Tuki Valley, with a passion for natural light and honest storytelling. After exhibiting Guided by the Light at Fotofest for the first time last year, capturing the landscapes of the valley through sunrise and golden hour, 
Mel’s new work explores the mood and beauty of light and shadow through food, nature and nostalgia. Photographed in her family's generational farm woolshed, the collection celebrates the warmth, history and simple beauty found in the everyday.
