Tell us about one of your images. How and where you shot it, time of day, anything that inspired you to get this shot. Is there a story you could share ?
I shot the SS Gairloch shipwreck image near Ōakura beach in Taranaki during a stormy weekend in June. I was crouched under an umbrella in torrential rain just before daybreak when I finally got a break in the weather. I used a neutral density filter to get a long exposure as I really wanted to create a mist, stormy and ethereal feel to the image that would complement the rusting skeleton of this old shipwreck.

What do you enjoy most about taking photographs?
I enjoy being out in nature and the serenity that often comes with being out early in the morning or late at night.
