Celebrating Ingrid Chettleburgh

This has become one of my favourite quotes.

“The strongest heart has the most scars”
by Jeff Hood.

I have captured many photographs of hearts that show wisdom, hurt, courage, strength, and generosity, capturing emotion is compelling.
My Photography has supported me, as I negotiated my way through The Breast Cancer Journey over the last 15 months. I have certainly had ups and downs. There are parts of it that were foul and I never wish to repeat but also parts that contained some very beneficial learning about myself as a person.

In the tough times I took photographs, this helped me capture beauty in many forms. It helped me see the world in a positive manner and understand that nothing is forever.

The one thing that feeds my soul is the sunrise, the colours at dawn, the warmth of the rising sun and the magic of shapes and forms in the clouds surrounding it. Nature provides us with stunning art, it is with my camera that I choose to capture precious moments to share.

My favourite time of day has to be the sunrise at one of our local beaches. The location I love the most is Te Mata 0 Maui, Cape Kidnappers. I use a DSL Camera with a 18-135mm lens, mostly.
