Arts Inc Heretaunga invite photographers to submit proposals for inclusion in the Bridge Pa Sculpture Trail returning to Paritua Winery in Hawke’s Bay.

Curatorial Brief

Artists are invited to explore connection across distance:social, cultural, emotional, or ideological. Proposals should consider how photography can make room for uncertainty, empathy, and multiple truths. See bottom of page for concept design.

Submission Details

• Artists may submit up to two photographic works for consideration.

• Works must be in portrait orientation.

• There is potential for works to be displayed as two photographs on double-sided units along the trail.

• Artworks must not have been exhibited in Hawke’s Bay within the past 12 months, to ensure a fresh and high-quality experience for audiences.

Site & Exhibition Context

• Artists are welcome to request a pre-arranged site visit to Paritua. Please note: visits must be organised in advance, please don’t arrive unannounced.

Key Dates

• 9 January 2026: Deadline for artist and artwork information to be included in printed collateral and the website.

o We ask for artwork title, dimensions, and materials as early as possible to assist with planning.

o Website and pricing information can be updated after this date if required.

Artist Support & Sales

• Each participating artist will receive a fixed koha of $300.

o This amount does not vary based on the number of artworks or collaborators involved.

• Editioned prints offered for sale will be subject to a 10% commission on successful sales.

• The chosen artist will receive two complimentary tickets (children aged 12 and under attend free).
